For help, include the app version, iPhone model, iOS version and what happened. For a question-content issue, include the mode and question number shown in the game. Do not send a progress backup unless you choose to share it for support.
Does the game need internet access?
All questions and explanations are included, so learning works offline and no learner account is required. In iOS version 1.1.0, Google AdMob advertising, consent messages, Apple purchases and purchase restoration require an internet connection. Destinations you select to save or share a manual backup may also use their own internet connections.
How do I save my learning progress?
Progress is saved automatically inside the app. In Settings, choose Export progress, then Save / share file to keep a JSON backup in Files or another destination you choose. Copy text is also available. Keep a backup before uninstalling the app or changing devices.
How do I restore a backup?
In Settings, choose Import progress. Select a JSON backup or paste its complete text, then Check backup. Review the confirmation and choose Restore progress. This replaces the learning progress on that device. The app accepts its own compatible version-1 JSON progress exports.
Can I delete my progress?
Settings > Reset removes learning records after confirmation while preserving display preferences. Uninstalling removes the app's private data. Offloading may retain app data. Copies you exported elsewhere are controlled by you.
What if the text is difficult to read?
Settings offers larger text, stronger contrast and reduced motion. Turn the iPhone to landscape if you prefer more horizontal space.
Advertising and Remove Ads
iOS version 1.1.0 is free to download and can display Google AdMob banner ads on the home screen. Ad availability depends on Google approval, network availability and applicable consent choices. Learning remains available when ads are unavailable.
Remove Ads is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription. The price is shown before confirmation. Use Settings > Ads, purchases & privacy > Restore purchases with the Apple Account used for purchase to restore verified ad-free access. Verified owners of the earlier paid app also retain ad-free access.
Privacy
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK with ad personalization disabled and does not request Apple's tracking permission. Learning progress stays on your device and is not sent to the advertising service. Read the privacy policy for advertising data processing and privacy choices.
Japanese Quest 1900 is an independent learning app, unaffiliated with the JLPT organizers. JLPT labels are approximate learning guides.
