Japanese Quest 1900

How the app works

Japanese Quest 1900 is an offline Japanese learning game. It does not require an account. Its learning content is included in the app, and no internet connection is needed to practise after installation.

Data handled by the app

The app does not automatically collect or transmit personal data to the developer or to third parties. It does not contain advertising, analytics, tracking tools or third-party data-collection SDKs. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone, and it does not use the advertising ID.

The app stores learning information locally on your device, such as your answers, scores, questions to review, session history, study dates, saved sessions, progress and preferences. This information supports practice and review. The app does not automatically transmit this information to the developer, upload it to a server or share it. The iPhone app stores progress in its private application folder, excluded from automatic iCloud backup. Keep a manual export if you need a backup.

Retention and deletion

Your local learning information remains on your device until you reset it, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. You can use the app's reset control to erase saved learning progress. The Reset control deletes learning records while preserving display preferences. Uninstalling the app removes its private data; offloading the app may retain it. The developer cannot access or recover your device's saved progress.

Manual progress backups

The backup view lets you copy your saved learning information as JSON text or open the iOS share sheet to save or share a JSON file. You can restore a backup by pasting that text or choosing a backup file. These actions take place only when you choose them. The app does not automatically upload your backup or send it to the developer.

A backup contains your saved progress, practice history, review questions, saved session and preferences. If you save or share a copy through another app or service, that copy is handled under the policies of the app or service you choose. Resetting or uninstalling Japanese Quest 1900 does not delete copies you have saved elsewhere; you control those copies and can delete them yourself.

Purchases and platform services

Apple handles any App Store purchase, download and updates under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. The developer does not receive payment card details through the app. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases in Japanese Quest 1900.

If you contact us

If you email the developer, your email address and the information you choose to send will be used to respond to your enquiry. This is separate from the offline app. Correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve the enquiry or meet applicable obligations. You can request deletion of correspondence by contacting the email address below.

Intended audience

Japanese Quest 1900 is intended for English-speaking Japanese learners aged 13 and over. The app does not create user accounts or collect children's personal data.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if the app's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
