Include the app version, device model, iOS or iPadOS version, and a short description of the issue. For a learning-content question, include the kanji and its four-digit collection number. A learning-progress export is optional; send one only if you choose to share it for support.

How do I start?

In Explore, choose Begin with water or select any family. Choose an answer and read the feedback before moving to the next character. Daily quest combines meanings, representative readings, and family connections.

Does the native app require an account or internet connection?

No account is required. The native iPhone and iPad app includes the learning collection and saves progress on your device. Japanese pronunciation uses your device's installed synthesized speech voice. Voice availability depends on system settings. App Store downloads and purchases, support websites, and destinations you choose for a progress export may use the internet.

What do H and X mean?

H marks historical or extended connections. X marks characters for which a family clue can mislead about the selected meaning or structure. Read the family learning note. Each character has one representative reading, not every possible reading.

How does review work?

Missed cards return immediately. Correct answers schedule review after 1, 3, 7, and then 14 days. Correct answers on three different days build mastery. Repeating a card on one day does not advance its mastery more than once that day.

Where is my progress?

Progress is saved in the app on this device. It does not sync between the iPhone, iPad, and browser prototype. Progress > Export progress opens the iOS share sheet so you can keep a readable JSON copy. Automatic cross-device restore and a backup-import screen are not included in this version.

Can I delete my progress?

Progress > Reset local progress asks for confirmation before deleting the app's learning record. Uninstalling normally removes local app data; offloading may retain it. Exports and device backups are controlled by you and your selected provider.

Purchases and refunds

The native App Store edition is a one-time purchase with all learning content included. There are no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests. The browser prototype has no checkout.

Browser prototype

The private Safari prototype uses ChatGPT sign-in for access. It is separate from the native App Store app, which does not require ChatGPT or another login. Browser progress stays in that browser or web app.
