Kanji Radical Quest Privacy Policy

Updated October 26, 2026

This policy describes the native Kanji Radical Quest iPhone and iPad app published by Inoue Masayuki.

Data collection

The native app does not send your learning activity, identifiers, or personal information to the publisher. It has no advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, developer-operated backend, account registration, or online leaderboard.

Learning records on your device

Correct and incorrect answers, review dates, mastery, XP, and activity days are stored locally in the app's device storage. The publisher cannot remotely access those records. Cross-device progress sync is not included.

Exports, deletion, and device backups

Export progress opens the system share sheet. If you choose to save or share an export, its contents go to the destination you select. That destination and any Apple device backup follow your own settings and the provider's policies. Reset local progress deletes the app's learning record after confirmation. Exports and backups outside the app are managed separately by you.

Pronunciation and Apple services

Pronunciation uses Apple's system speech synthesis to read the supplied kana with an installed Japanese voice. The app does not record your voice or request microphone access. Apple provides App Store purchasing, TestFlight distribution, system speech voices, and optional device backups under Apple's own policies and your settings.

Support messages

If you choose to email support, the publisher receives the information you send, such as your email address, message, and any attachment you select. It is used to respond to the request and investigate the reported issue. Do not send passwords, payment-card information, or unrelated personal information. Contact support to request deletion of a support message, subject to any records that must be retained.

Support website and browser prototype

This public support website is hosted on GitHub Pages. The host may process ordinary website-request information under its own policies. The separately hosted private browser prototype uses ChatGPT sign-in and that hosting service's access controls. These website services are not required to play the native App Store app.

Changes and contact

Any change to the native app's data practices will be reflected in an updated policy. Publisher: Inoue Masayuki. Privacy and support contact: ikuyasam58@gmail.com.
